The wait time allows for absorption through the membranes under the tongue. This method allows for fast action because the CBD goes straight to the bloodstream without first passing through the digestive tract. 

When using CBD oil for sleep, it is best to take it half an hour to an hour before bed time. Between 30 minutes to 60 minutes before the intended sleep time, CBD can help to relax the body by de-stressing it and inducing a calming sensation.
