CBT

CBT (cannabicitran) is a minor cannabinoid found in cannabis, but it is not well studied and its effects are not well understood. It is thought to be a breakdown product of THC that occurs over time, particularly with exposure to heat and light. CBT is not typically found in significant quantities in fresh cannabis, and its presence usually indicates that the plant material has undergone some degree of aging or degradation.

Because CBT is a minor cannabinoid and has not been extensively studied, there is little information available on its potential benefits or side effects. More research is needed to understand its effects on the body and how it may interact with other cannabinoids and compounds in cannabis.

Even though CBT has a similar molecular structure to THC, it is non-psychotropic. This means that CBT has no psychoactive properties that would get you high.

Hemp-derived CBT is federally legal. Hemp refers to cannabis plants that contain a maximum of 0.3% THC. CBT is not listed in the Controlled Substances Act (CSA) either. It is important to ascertain the source of CBT, as laws differ when it is derived from marijuana.

Research has shown evidence to suggest the utlity of CBT in ameliorating the effects of THC. CBT can act as an antagonist to the psychoactive effects of THC.

A study from 2007, revealed that CBT can act as an antibody against the psychotropic components of THC, by serving as a catalyst to complex chemical transformations and by providing therapeutic function in marijuana addiction treatment.
